the reasons why bills like this are introduced is because not all aquarists know what they buy and many are buying species they should not be. It is because of supply and demand that bills like this are being introduced.
It is not the lawmakers who should use common sense but the consumers who are buying fish from suppliers that don’t care for the environment and sell fish that are endangered.
I have no problem restricting endangered species with laws. Making accross the board bans of anything not native is foolish for government, commerce would be crushed.
