Proud of myself.

I quit smoking 3 days ago!!! Just woke up and decided I was done inhaling the poison. I read Allen Carr’s book and it really made a lot of sense to me. I reccomend it to anybody thinking about quitting.

I just wanted to share. I am looking forward to happy days as a non-smoker.

great move. all the support and best wishes from here e, you go for it. good luck. remember all the reasons you need to quit the next time the urge to light up hits, count to 10 and resist.!!!

Congratulations Ellen!!

That is fantastic. I gave up tobacco and nicotine almost a year ago. it’s challenge but so worth it in the end. I always feel so much better about myself since I quit.

Good luck with it!!!

eat lots of sunflower seeds, it helped me quit 10 years of 2.5 packs a day cold turkey 2.5 years ago.

also, yell at your self and slap your self if you feel the need for one  GL

Thanks all. I am feeling pretty darn good! I am stronger than I thought I was.

This is definitely the best decision I have ever made.

Keep it up Ellen, you wont regret it. It took me 3-4 weeks to feel relaxed and not craving. I just woke up each day and noted the physical change and senses i was feeling different that day. and note them as steps on the stairs to reach the top. sometimes my jaw was tight, gritting teeth, or lungs congested ast they flush out but generally healing signs. change is good.

the most notable thing you’ll notice is how F’in horrible smokers who walk by or come in smell, i cant drive behind a smoker with my outside air intake on its terrible

I know what you are talking about. I pulled up behind someone who was smoking yesterday and I could not believe how bad it smelled. Nicotene is such a bad addiction.

How did sunflower seeds help you?

when i did smoke i’d smoke one every 15 minutes or more, and i loved sunflower seeds, so when i ate them i’d be so busy crackin the shells that 5 hours would go by and i’d realize i didnt have a cig and i always said if i quit that would help and it did.

best of luck . GolfC well now that my kids are here in delaware i too am trying to quit. figured at $5.50 a pack i can buy a new boat soon. or atleast have gas money to take mine out more.

Atta Girl!

Hey, When you hit the first thirty days sans Burning Embers, Would it be appropriate for us to give you your very own Surrogate Puffer Fish, as a sort of mascot?

we should have a party lool

JUST REMEMBER, ITS OK TO THINK ABOUT SMOKING AS LONG AS YOU SLAP YOURSELF AND YELL, FUCK THAT!!! AFTERWARDS

its alot of self control that is surprisingly easy to keep and you really have to say it out loud some times, remember i quit 2.5 packs of malrboro’s PER DAY cold turkey, if i can do that you can too!!!

go gogo!!
