Tank is finally over the cyano hump and looking so much better. Need to start getting some more frags to fill in and get to growing it out.
Details:
30gal dt
20 gal long sump
Coralife 65 skimmer
Black box led, ramps up at 10am full intensity at 2 and back down by 9pm.
Pretty simple set up so far. Slowly adding larger equipment so the wife doesn’t string me up.
Livestock:
2 3 stripe damsels
2 yellow tail damsels
Ocellaris clown
Yellow watchman goby
Pride and joy at the front center is my pink tip elegance
Duncan
2 sets of hammers
Green trumpet
No name leather that is slowly getting larger and will need to be moved at some point.
Purple frogspawn
Condy anemone, pain in my butt…
Acro from John that is encrusting like crazy!
Hairbrush macro
Couple mushrooms
Misc zoas that don’t seem to like my tank or their spot, not sure which.
Here are a couple pics for your enjoyment.
Looks great! We all go through the ugly stage
glad to hear your tank is doing well. The pics show that also.
FYI, go slow with adding more to the tank, every new thing will add to the bio load.
Any advice on what to use to attach plugs and frags to my rock. I can’t seem to get super glue to work well enough and I’m definitely not pulling rock out to attach with epoxy.

Looking Good! I keep big chunks of rubble rock in my refugium, big enough that the critters can’t move them - small enough to tuck into where I need them. Then I use them to glue frags to and put them where I need them, for me this works well because if the coral doesn’t like the placement it is easy to move. And it’s already “live” and colors up with coraline quickly to blend in
Thats a really good idea. i will have to bust up some of the extra rock i have for that. Thanks!
Super glue gel works for me. Put a blob on the rock/plug and then dip it in some water. Let it sit for 30 seconds and it should hold then. Getting a skin to form on the outside by dipping it usually does the trick.
So sounds like your not getting enough super glue on your fingers

So dip and hold it out for 30 sec then set it in place?
