After finally finding the cause of my persistent nitrate problem (7 silversides the eel had stashed away) and the reason more than half of my corals bleached I am looking for some ideas on what corals to add now that will add some motion or a good pop of color. But I don’t want to try anything too crazy yet to make sure I truly found the root of the problem.
I really like the look of branching corals, kinda erratic shaped corals like birdsnests, and Duncan’s.
Hopefully someone has some ideas to help out

Hammer and torch corals look great, lots of movement
What is the difference between the two?

They are both from the same genus, Euphyllia. Hammer corals (Euphyllia ancora) and torch corals (Euphyllia parancora) are both branching types with long polyps that sway in the flow. Hammer coral polyps are much shorter than torch coral and their ends look a bit like hammers. A lot of people confuse torch corals with anemones, they look fairly similar.
That makes a lot more sense now.
