RO/DI filter

Its time for me to replace my filters and DI resin. Where is the cheapest place to get them ?

I bought my DI resin in a bulk bag from bulk reef supply the last time and used our coupon code and was pretty cheap. Filter prices were not bad either

+1

well, just for a comparison. I’ve always bought from what was Buckeye Field Supply in Cincinatti , Ohio. now apparently a name change, Buckeye hydro.

http://www.buckeyehydro.com/

seems very similar to BRS. so take your pick.

I bought the package deal from BRS. It was less than the cost of buying the stuff separately.

It’s probably common knowledge at this point, but if you load up your cart at BRS and don’t check out, they will email you a $5off with purchase over $50 coupon code in a week to entice you back. It’s only good for 24hrs though so don’t be like me and miss it 3 times hahaha.

Yes i have noticed that!! Thanks! Do you know if I would be able to use the $5 in combination with our discount?

This is what I was thinking about getting. One question though. I bought my unit from air water and ice and their filters say 10 micron sediment. This kit has a 5 micron is there a difference? If so what?

That refers to the particle size that it filters out. Smaller size means it captures more.

so the 5 will capture more than the 10?

Yes the lower the number the smaller the particles it filters out

Thanks
