maybe the wrong forum, but
I am now using my ROâ€â€ÂÂÂÂÂÂonly the ROâ€â€ÂÂÂÂÂÂas a drinking water filter. Two carbon blocks and a 5 micron sediment filter. It works great except that my waste water is approaching a 6-1 ratio, 50% higher than it was with the DI. Jason thinks a permeate pump might solve the problem. Any ideas/opinions
That may help ya Paul but how old ias the membrane?? If they start to get restricted they will have a high rejection rate
membrane has fewer than 1000 gals through it,
low house water pressure?
Its been cold, the colder the water the more viscous and the rejection rate will be higher. That is why some will either coil the line in the sump or in a bucket with a heater, before going hrough the RO unit
house pressure is usually 70 psi or above. i know the heated coil trick, but the ro rejection should not be this high, regardless, using only ro. the question remains whether a permeate pump would reduce the amount of waste???
not if your PSI is already above 50 PSI
