What does everyone do with their waste water when making H2O? I had been putting it in the washing machine and doing a load, but we recently got a new washer with an auto load sensor. The first time I made water, the load sensor busted. It could be a coincidence that the sensor went after I put in the water, but I don’t think my wife wants me to continue dumping the waste in there after it’s fixed. (A week without a functional washer is no fun for anyone, even if it’s a nice break from doing laundry.). I have nowhere to store the waste. Should I just dump it down the drain?
I myself have a container out side where the waste water goes into and to be use for the garden. Before I was just running it out to the yard.
I’m not sure where you live, but here in Dover everything goes in the drain/sewage cost money. That is why I just let it out in the yard or now in a container.
Id water my plants that’‘s a pretty good idea. Pretty sure new castle county counts drain water by what’'s used also.
I do the same. Laundry and plants
During winter months I just dump it down the drain. In the spring & summer when I have the garden planted I run it out to the garden as an irrigation system.
New Castle County bills by what’‘s used, not what goes down the drain. The sewer bill is the one bill I get that I never complain about. I always figure I’'m making out on that one ;D
Before it goes down the drain I put it through another 75gpd membrane, this doubles my output with the same amount of water. Then it goes down the drain
@beadlocked450r: Can you explain your setup in some detail? That sounds like it might be the best way for me to go. Thanks
My waste water goes to the fishpond. I use fishpond water to spray the garden/yard. Sort of a pond water change.
It’’’‘s a kit bulk reef sells,it’’’'s a second membrane that is fed from the waste water of the first.the kit has everything you need to hook it up. Our site sponsor air/water/ice might also sell it
Here’'s some videos that goes into detail:
