Paul had asked me to post some pics of my screen top. I got the idea from this thread on RC Reef Central Online Community - Anyone have suggestions for tank lids?
It is easy to build, does not block light, and will keep your fish in. Here are a few pics of mine. I had to get creative with mine because I have a wave tank.

No. Just your standard aluminum screen frame. Not a problem for anyone that is using them as far as I have heard.
So its a screen door so the fishies don’t run away?
Nice job on making that screen top. I have also seen some people use eggcrate,that you can buy in Home Depot, and it can be trimmed to any shape for the top of their tanks.
