i am looking for alot of different sea plants for my new aqua pod tank. i am going with an angler fish and want to plant this tank with grasses and micro algea. if anyone has some for sale let me know. dont want any cheto but anything else would work.
Hi Glen, how big will it’s tank be? if you are coming to the meeting next week, I’ll bring you some red halymenia and some prolifera.
The prolifera will hold onto rock or sand readily. the Halymenia can float around, if you can keep it out of the overflow. it can in time plant some small chunks onto rock and grow from there. or hang it in a bit of netting. these are macro algaes. sea grasses are a whole different thing. they are true plants, and need a fine deep sand bed to drop roots into, from which they draw nutients. and need bright light too.
they are collected in the gulf and are seasonal. like Turtle grass, Manatee grass and shoal grass. from these guys.

they will have more in stock in the spring and summer.
thanks for the link ken. seems like i will place a order soon for my new tank. if you have spare prolifera i would like to recieve a small bag to plant on sand bed. i see they have a large selection on the site.
Yes, I will bring you a starter bag of prolifera to next weeks meeting. most of the stuff on the site are out of season right now. I still would like to do a proper Sea Grass fuge some day. i would buy some from them. Maybe when i upgrade my reef tank.

which makes them sound very interesting. but a little hard to find starter plants. that place is one.
