Sohal tang for sale

I have a 6-7" sohal tang that is in perfect health, fat and gorgeous! Here is a video of my tank with him in it, sorry its not the best quality, but all I have.

He is in a 7x2x2 210g tank. If you have anything smaller then a 6x2x2 180g, don’t bother with this fish, its too small for him. I’d like to see him go to a bigger tank (240g 8x2x2 or bigger). I am open to trades, other large angels (emperor, bluering etc), triggers (large niger or goldenheart), other tangs (achilles, tiny sohal etc) or maybe other fish, possibly even equipment (skimmers, lights, nanos). Let me know what you have. Otherwise, I’d like $125 for this beauty. I will not ship, I don’t feel comfortable doing it and the weather is to unpredicatible right now. I am located in Hockessin, DE 19707, Thanks.

heads up link not working.

Fixed, thank you. Sorry about that.

Not interested in the fish, but pretty tank! Lots of colorful fish.

Thank you! I’ve been holding out on showing everyone here my 210g. The fish are pretty but the tank not so much, mainly due to my eel throwing rocks around! I need to change the bulbs out to make the fish’s colors better.

Yeah, nice collection of fish. What are those green alien eye thingies on either side of the tank?

Eh, it’s alright, but thank you. Those are powerheads, there like two koralias merged together. Each one puts out about 3100gph and only costed me $27 shipped to my door. I run four of them along with two K4s and my return, good thing the tank is BB!

Sohal is back in my sump, ready to be picked up, $100 with appropriate sized tank! Considering trades as well!

i would take him but i only have a 165…bummer!

What are the dimensions on the 165g and do you plan on upgrading anytime soon?

it is 72x18x22…i think…the width and height i am not certain about but its a six foot tank for sure…i would love to upgrade…just have not found the right tank at the right price yet…or room for at this time.

That oughta be big enough, hell he’s in a sump now. :SPIT)

That comes out to a 125g, can you get the right dimensions? If you could upgrade in a year or so, that’d be great, what size you looking to go to? Problem with these fish is they are very active and grow huge. I’ve seen them cramped in 300g tanks as adults! I rescued him out of a 75g! Also is your stock list up to date? I’d worry about him being a terror in your tank as well?

Joe, he goes back and forth from the sump to display, haha. Depends on his mood, for now he is in timeout!

Hhehe My little clown trigger will kill all the other fish here in a few weeks, Im sure. And he’s only 2 inches long. I understand the timeouts.

def. not a 125…and not as wide as a 180 but taller than a 180…i can measure when i get home…it was sold as a 165 but when i did the dimensions when i first got the tank by water volume it came out to 158. i will measure again when i get home.
my stock list now is a med. naso, med. yellow and, lg. purple tang, one lg tomato clown, sm black trigger.

about an upgrade i want to go a lot bigger but that is if i can only get my gf to allow that. she already thinks i spend to much time with my hobby now. and of course financing the project comes into play as well.

Sending PM

sounds like a 150 to me… i would mainly worry about the yellow and purple tang. my sohal is the smallest in the tank, has a HUGE issue with my sailfin (about the same size) and my yellow (a little bigger than the sohal) doesnt mess with my naso, large sailfin, anthias, gobies, blennies, or queen angel. but, im sure EVERY fish is gonna be different. so u never know who he may mess with.

Still have the sohal, poor guy is in my sump, no one wants him.

thought about it and I would not want to stress my fish out by adding a monster to the tank…also dont want to stress your fish by moving him to someplace where he wont be happy…i think i am gonna look for a smaller one to add to my system.

No problem, I didn’t think it was a good idea either. Personally, I wouldn’t get a sohal for your tank, you’ll be right where I am at in 6 months. They grow quick and get extremely mean! Not to mention adding a sohal will definitely put you well over stocked! Just my 2 cents, don’t want to see you make a mistake.

So anyone interested before I put him back in the display for a third time! I hate having the fish in the sump and moving him around so much.
