Looking good. I see a few things I would like
Looking real nice John ::
It looks HORRIBLE!!! I think you should break it down and bring it to my house >LOL< lOl
Seriously that is an amazing looking tank. I wish my tank looked half that good.
Thanks guys. It is my pleasure to be able to share it with everyone because of this amasing club.
John how are the LED's with the growth?
Bill, I believe the growth rate is fine. I can not say which is better or faster for growth, the LED’s or MH. I see plenty of growth with the LED’s and the other advantages of the LED’s has made the conversion well worth it. Right around this time of the year, I would be laying out $210 for 3 new MH bulbs, don’t have to do that now. To sum it up, definitely am happy with the LED’s.
Looks nice John!
Looks like a candy store to me!
As always John your tank looks great ::
thanks Jon and John
John, are there a ways that you can take pictures like maybe once a week from the same location for maybe 2 to 3 month to compare the growth rate on maybe some of the corals that you might think it grows easier and faster than any other corals? I would love to see that. So that it may take away the skepticism about LEDs. Thanks John
Actually, if anyone that is using LEDs, if you can please post the results as well. Thank you
Since the 420nm led’s are out I might end up just doing a DIY setup. Some one mentioned rapidled is now offering these. Now with all the wavelengths covered I am eventually going to do the upgrade. Its just a matter of when I am getting close to time for buying new bulbs at $250 a shot on just 1 tank. My 20g tank is due for new bulbs in a major way
A…I will look into trying that. I will also take a look and see if I already have some pics from last year when the LED system was installed till now.
That would be cool John, thanks.
Ok “A”. I have a w/c to do tomorrow and then I will post some pics of some frags I got from Kaptken back in Oct. They were all @1/2 inch in size. They are much bigger now, but I will start with the way they look as of tomorrow and take pics of their progress and growth for the next couple of months. Maybe I will also do pics of a slow growing piece like the Jason Fox War and Peace favia I have.
Cool John. Looking forward to seeing it.
I can’t wait to see the pics John. I think they are growing better for you than in my tank. your lights give them extra engerney!!
Ok I finished the W/C and have taken some pics to start a comparison from now until maybe a few months worth, to see my growth rate with the LED’s. I will start a new thread on this.
