Some tank/coral/clam pics...

this tank is amazing! is this your tank…?

Thanks Ryan, yes its mine ::thumbsup::

very nice shots, cept for the clams, which would look better in my tank.

You have some BRIGHT colors in their John. Starting to get a nice collection going. Have you taken many macro shots of the bubble coral? Looks like a nice specimen and those things look sweet in macro shots.

Nice John! did the superman monti make it or has it fade away?

Paul…thanks ::rofl::

Jon…thanks, and the bubble’s been here for a week… It’s from Bills’s tank…its now Chris n Barbs… I’m just babysitting it, and the 2 trachs behind it for them… and i’m trying not to get too attached to them!

A… thanks…and superman still has some life at the edges on the plug…and on the big boulder where it matted… one little area on the “boulder” (really a large pipe organ skeleton i got at greenbank 15 years ago) actually has some powder blue base!!!

Nice John! The tank is really filling in. I like the halameda in the tank. a little in-tank fuge that looks good, and is real easy to control and harvest.

Next time you have BBQ, can I just seat at look at your reef for few hours uninterrupted pls.?

Tank looks great John!! ::thumbsup::

That bubble does look familiar :P

very peaceful looking tank and critters. relaxing.

Hey Rosti, don’t you remember? we did that at the barbeque there this summer. we pulled up a couple chairs and sat front row and stared at the tank for a long time.

hippo looks real nice, so do the others. u know i mean clams. th e rest of the tank who cares PBJ! here’s my QQ when’s the last time u found pyr snails? how often do u check them and how long have they been in the plastic? my first battle w/ those bstrds i ended too quickly and they came back. i think it needs to be at least 6 weeks snail free before they’re gone. beautiful tank!

The clams get checked about 1 or two times a week… for months now, maybe 3-4… feels like i’ve been staring at tupperware way too long… verdict_in… Last week i only found two pyrams… (or at least ones that look like the clam eating variety of the bastids!) Last week or two ago i removed all the large snails my my tank… They also were carrying clusters of the pyrams on their underside (10-15 on each snail) so hopefully it’ll be over sooner now that they’re gone!
but… I haven’t seen either clam show any effects of the pyrams bothering/ irritating them since the first month. I’ll be mailing some pyrams i collected to a fellow “reef-geeks” member next week, and she’s going to do some macro investigation as to what i’ve really got… I’m hoping for good news because i’ve got a thousand baby turbo snails in my display which could be a “never ending” food source for the little sob’s…

wow! that’s amazing, but if the snails had clusters, i’d assume the new 1000 you have will get them also. but maybe they aren’t really pyrs
