Spectacular Tank

So, I was vacationing in Virginia Beach over the weekend and went to a seafood buffet called Captain George’s. Not only was the food great, but while waiting in line, I got to drool over this:

This is actually the second year we’ve been down in VA Beach, and this tank was there last year and I thought I had taken some pictures of it, but I can’t seem to find them… This was something like a 90 gallon bow front tank, or something of that size. I really like the the yellow stringy (yes thats my technical term) coral that you see in the one picture. I am assuming that is a zoanthid of some sort, but wasn’t real sure. I also love the red zoa’s that they have attached to the overflow… it was a really cool tank to stare at for the hour that we waited in line…

Very nice tank WOW!!!

Are you talking about the yellows in the 2nd pic? pretty sure they’re non photosynthetic yellow polyps (Parazoanthus gracilis) they grow good, and flow nicely in the current.
Anyway if i’m ever in Va beach, i’ll have to hit the cpt george buffet.

They’re Yellow Polyps and do look great in a tank.

I hit Captain George’s in Williamsburg as often as I can. In fact can’t wait to hit it over Labor Day weekend…mmmmmmmm…crab legs and corn :stuck_out_tongue:
