Now that this frags been growing for a year maybe it can be id’d … everything i see looks like “redplanet” to me… color wise anyway…just not sure of the growth pattern. It hasn’t grown up at all really…just out… (under t5’s btw)
The little green clown goby in the first pic is constantly in it, along with other acro’s, and scares the polyps in constantly!
+1 on red planet. Looks awesome, I wish mine looked that good.
Looks nice John. Just watch it doesn’t get to close to the Euphyllia. Could just be the camera angle, but it looks with in sweeping distance already.
Does really look red planetish. Does it have a black plastic plug hidden under it? Whatever it is when ever you have a healthy healed over frag ready for trade let me know.
If it is still growing with the goby occasionally scaring in the polyps I would say that is awesome. It looks like a color match in the photo like a well matched pistol shrimp goby pair. May be slowing down the growth slightly, but when the coral gets larger you could try adding another goby of the same species and have a small group hanging out in there.
+1 on the red planet. Looks like it’s gotten bigger since we saw it at the BBQ John. I thought I was first in line for that frag, hehehe.
Euphyllia is the camera angle, but getting closer. It did already lose a battle with the trumpets next to it, so i fragged that piece, put it on the rack…went back two hours later to mount it to a plug and it was gone…

The Goby is a cool little fish! … but goes from sps to sps reeking havoc on my PE! I would like to have a “buddy” or mate for it, and actually had 4 others or so never eat for me…ended up food for my CBS, When I got them Charlie warned me, and let me know they wouldnt eat, but i tried anyway, figured they’d have the best shot at survival in a reeftank instead of a holding tank. They are known to be bad shippers… we’ll see, maybe someday…maybe PE wins…
Awesome looking I can’t id anything though I have a bunch I have no clue what they are. But I sure would like a piece of that when you are able to part with it. I’ll buy trade fix ur Ac or heater lol whatever

I’ve got a plug growing pretty good that i think was sold as a red planet, from one of the frag swaps last fall. It’s deep red, and branches like that one. but has morphed to blue tips? looks nice.
there’s some sort of Raspberry acro that might look like yours.

Shortcake was my closest guess back then… now i’m not so sure after its grown. Either way its cool… I just don’t want to “hunt” down a RP frag if i’ve already got one growing verdict_in
