Here is what became of the free stand that was given to me by hottuna. My frag tank fit in the free stand perfectly, so I used the stand on the frag tank and started a new frag tank with my old stand. I now have 2 frag tanks, one for soft corals and the second for SPS corals.

what are you using as your tank there? rubber maid something?
those DIY tanks look like those STERILITE under bed storage trays. they are inexpensive, can be plumbed easily and large and shallow. the can be very brittle, but you have it well supported, bottom and sides , to keep it from bowing with water pressure. that can crack the sides in time. but your set up looks just fine. Little pressure anyway, since they are so shallow.
I wish i had a basement to set up stuff like that.

TimH07, I am using Rubbermaid bins. The new tray I bought at Leowes and they seem to work out preety good.
Kaptken, you are so right. They are well supported under neath and on the sides. The first frag tank bowed out on the sides.
These “tanks” are located in my garage. My main tank is in my house about 30 ft away from the frag tanks.
