We’re looking for some regular content to have at the monthly meetings.
In the past we had members stepping up on a regular basis to either show a “tank tour” or another reef-related presentation. We’ve had some really good ones before… ex… Houndsbayman, John did a great job on his “acrylic frag tank construction” … it was simply a video of the process accompanied by John’s commentary while it was playing. also Barb did a very professional power point presentation on raising clownfish. Those are just two examples of great ones i recall.
Tank tours… easy… just give us ten minutes of pics, and/or video would be great, and a rundown of your setup… (equipment, inhabitants, maintenance, dosing, feeding etc… etc…) who can’t bs about their setup for 10 mins? Whatever you put together, just load it on a memory card so it can be playd from a laptop and put on the projector at the meeting.
Anyway, i’m curious… there’s lots of members tanks that i’ve never seen one single peek at :GEEK:
A lot of people really go out of their way to make it to the meetings, and …to make the meetings happen. Even though its fun just to catch-up and BS w/ friends, i still would like us to be sharing a bit more reef- related content.
So if you can take pics with a digital camera or even a smart phone, or if you’ve ever diy’d something like led’s or an algae scrubber, diy food, etc… then “you” could contribute something if you’d like.
There’s also very simple things that could be done just to have something to look at/ talk about. ex… last month we had a simple “herbie style” drain system running in two buckets, also we simply had the par meter and a couple of led lights to play with at a past meeting…
Any and all ideas, and presenters are welcome.
We only have April and May left for regular meetings of the season, It would be nice to see at least a tank tour done at each one. ::
Just wanted to :BUMP) this… again… just lmk which meeting, and if you need any technical assistance
