ok. so i am highly disappointed in this show. I was in LV over the weekend with my GF wanted to see the Serendipity 3 tank. Guess what was not there. All the fish died in the first 4 days. They could not stabilize the water temperature. Plus did not acclimate the fish to the new water. So we went to Shari’s Diner (juke box) hoping it was just a fluke… NOPE. no aquarium there either. I spoke with one of the owners and found out all the fish died within 4 days again… and the they told Shari that for 300.00/month they would up keep the tank. Unlike the show depicts… the guys at ATM approached both owners to build the tanks. HIGHLY disappointed in this show.
I don’t think anyone thought you were a jerk until the meeting :: jk, I think we all thought this but who knows who even knows if that post is legit, meaning the actual person really saw it and talked to the owners. Knowing something about the hobby I think that it would happen if fish were put in too fast. I did some google searching and found a negative u tube vid that was deleted due to copyright infringement or something like that. so seems true?
Well you know I had to call and ask the resturant myself and they co signed the claim saying they had to remove the tank because the fish where all dying and even though they had the chiller temp still rose up to high.

You also have to look at the other side, they may of very well offered and intended the tanks to be under a maintenance agreement that may have been declined.

I think we just heard both sides.[/quote]
Not Really, did the owners check paramaters daily while the tank was new and take the correct actions, did they over feed or under feed, did they feed the correct food.
The owner of the diner said the fish died within 4 days. How could anyone who is into this hobby believe for one moment that anything could survive in the tanks they setup because of how they do everything the wrong way.
I mean it’s really hard to say without having all the facts we can assume all kinds of things. Clients may have been given instrustions and warnings that were not followed, they could of been part of a pilot program and been informed of the risk.

I agree most of the people on that show with the exception of the keg tank that was fresh water probably never did aquariums before and wanted to try it. The large stacked quarentine system that they did for the couple was a return customer to them and they had a thriving system. The one they built and went back to install the feeding tube cause the lady had to use a ladder to feed was a long time customer of theres so theres to many things it could be without hearing all the facts. This hobbie has alot of trial and error and everyone of us start with the basics make all the same mistakes and learn from other people books etc.
I still like the show and will continue to watch and look forward to them popping in to talk to us maybe one of these days. ::thumbsup::

Both of those tanks had been built long before the show and may have been installed/cycled properly because they weren’t in a rush to do it all in a day so maybe that’s why they worked?
I have to admit, the next time I’m in LV I plan on going around to look for their tanks as well. Even though the guys on the show are incredibly annoying I can’t stop watchig it!

Yep and I agree with that also, then that comes back to animal planet running a show highlights only and looking for a month long process in a hour show.
