The Frag Swap at East Coast Aquatics

We had a good time and I scored some great frags cheap. I got a rainbow monti, a 3" piece of what looks like garf bonsi, and a bright purplish blue millie for $10 a piece. From the swap tank I got a nice frag of purple digita, and a blue tipped stag. I got lucky and picked #2 and nobody got #1 so I had first pick YahoO.

I also won a beautiful lime green neonish acro in the raffle. I am not to sure how well this piece is doing, and I think the time it spent out in the sun in a small container may have stressed it. I need to post up some photos, but I am feeling a little lazy tonight after standing around in the hot sun all day yesterday.

i got a beautiful red shroom, about 3 of them, a niice green/brown paly, a chalice frag, one like ellen’s, favia frag, encrusting monti, and a frogspawn.
bought a white sleeper goby who is tearing up my sand, sifting every bit through his gills.
was worth it being in the sun for hours. a great store, easy to find, but no clams. some fish [copper banded b’flies had some spot/fin issues.

i was there, parked the gold jeep liberty in the middle of the lane, got some live rock to help cycle my new tank, will go for more soon. didnt even know about the swap, went for rock and got a party!1 lol

copper banded b-fly’s ALWAYS have SOMETHING wrong with them…

other than that and a few really high prices onlesser quality chalices, all was excellent.

Thanks for having us Matt! That walking batfish you guys have is awesome.

i ended up getting a Nice Favia, a Large Neon Green+Red Frilly Mushroom, a Red Ricordia about the size of my palm…and some pulsing Xenia…

definitly a good time and some of our members definitly racked up! I wanted to participate in the raffle for the frags, but they were just sitting out in the sun getting beat up…hopefully you guys made out ok…

Sounds like I missed out on a good time! Glad everyone got some good stuff!

The frag that I won in the raffle RTN’d overnight. I really think it was a bad idea to have those frags sitting in small containers out in the sun.

sorry, e, a shame!
what’s the abbreviation mean? RTN’d overnight.

Rapid Tissue Necrosis…pretty much means the coral bleached out rapidly.

Sorry for the loss Ellen. That was a neat looking acro

All the frags i got in the swap seem to be ok so far. showing some color and polyps.

truely a bummer … sorry to hear that E

nine are all still going well, no deaths yet.

All of the frags that I got in the swap from the big tank are doing great as well as the ones I bought from the smaller tank. The only loss was the raffle frag. That was a nice looking coral it is too bad it died :-("

“All of the frags that I got in the swap from the big tank are doing great as well as the ones I bought from the smaller tank. The only loss was the raffle frag.” well other people from the club won raffle frags, right, how’re they doing? i won nothing, so all mine came from the tanks, not the cups.
