The life you save could be yours

I realize many of you are afraid to do any electrical projects yourself. As I was browsing the internet I came across this item that any one working around water should have; a GFI outlet. You can wire one in directly (available at Home Depot) or use this guy. There is no wiring needed, plug and play

Tower Shock Buster 3-Outlet Electrical Cord with Inline GFCI

Its a quick fix that may end up saving your life

Nice find on the three outlet… I use the single outlet on the TV… ShockBuster is quality stuff

Nice find Al, thanks for sharing.

Def if you don’t have your tank (and accessories) running through a GFI, that’s a great buy for 30 bux. Your life’s worth $30 right?

LOL< this makes me laugh… I once had that thought being a dummy and changing out the receptacles with the power on because it was just a tingle… Then i welded the screw driver to the box and receptacle while blowing the main fuse to the house. :SURRENDER It seemed like forever till that fuse blew

See now I’ve found that as soon as my head hits the floor the circuit completes and trips the breaker.

If you hit the hot alone you make an indirect route to ground and its a tingle. Iy make a direct hot to ground your lucky to just weld the screwdriver to the outlet. It could be worse. Now add water on the skin to the equation. Makes both 1000 x’s worse.

I bought 2 of them from Home Depot work great I spilled water one day and all equipment was shut off when dried reset.
