Thinking of getting a new fish

So, after a few deaths and disappearances i have decided its time for more fish. 38g tank.

Currently i have 2 clowns, 2 blue damsels, 1 firefish (Red)

What i might want:

Banggai Cardinal
Another Fire fish
Coral beauty angel

What would you guys suggest would go goo with what i have, and what about the fish i might want?

you didnt give much info about the deaths so i want make assumptions other than to say make sure its not a husbandry issue before getting more fish.

the banggai cardinals are awesome. if you decide to get one, please pay a little extra for captive bred

fire fish are cool but big jumpers(im sure you know this). even if you arent able to pair a new one with your
existing one they should still tolerate one another in a 38g

coral beauties are great fish but are known for decimating corals and clams so keep that in mind. with a small/medium bioload i think most any dwarf angel should work for you in a 38g.

personally, i think the cardinals are you best bet. there color and behavior(hover more thans swim) will be a good contrast to the fish you have and you shouldnt have 0 issues with adding them. also, im sure you know, but the damsels will probably cause you grief down the road especially in a 38g. never to early to look into a good home for them:)

I have to catch the mother f*****s first… anyone got ideas for a fish trap…

ill gladly get rid of them… what cardinals would u suggest… Not husbandry, one got sucked into a filter in the Qt because the spout came off, one was killed by damsels, other i think is under a rock somewhere…

one was killed by damsels
that would be my biggest worry. a docile fish might not be given the opportunity to acclimate if the damsels decide to make sport of it. might not be as big of an issue with the angel, but could be fatal with the cardinals or firefish.
what cardinals would u suggest
i only have experience with the bangai and threadfin. the bangai are probably my favorite and i plan to get a pair for my 150g with intentions to breed them down the road. i have four threadfins now and they are amazing little fish. they are the only fish that i have had longterm that show no aggression and constantly shoal. ive even seem them school at times in my bigger tank. the bangai are probably my favorite and i plan to get a pair for my 150g with intentions to breed them down the road. i also like the orange/copper stripe but have never seen them in person. seem very cool.

Okay, now with the Threadfin do i have to keep them in a school, and i heard that multiple bangai in a small tank is bad…

going up to that fish place next week, ima check out what they have

Threadfin do i have to keep them in a school,
not at all. i only mentioned it because there are very few fish that you can keep in groups sucessfully longterm.
and i heard that multiple bangai in a small tank is bad...
yeah. definitely a bad idea. ive been told that they can be sexed, but i dont know if its true or not. if it is, i cant tell the difference.

damsels suck >http://delreefclub.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=1618.0 would remove him before you have to go through it later

try feeding them and when they come up for the food scoop um up. if that dosnt work idk. never tried a fish trap befor.

ill try it, but i think ima need a fish trap, as im not taking my rockwork apart… too much time

Picked up a small clown tonight, seems to be fitting in with the other 2
