hi all my name is joe i used to be active in saltwater tanks.i sold my tank and stuff to a few members on here about 2 years ago because i was moveing in with my now wife and had no room.so now im trying to get back into the hobby. i currently have a aga reef ready 75 gallon. but no stand so i was wondering if anyone had a stand and maybe the a 48inch light im willing to pay but im trying to save money.due to i have a baby on the way

Welcome back to the hobby! Hopefully somebody might have an old stand lying about. if so they will chime in. if not, im sure you are scanning the local Craigs list. or perhaps make one. its not that hard . fit and finish all depend on your carpentry skills and how persnickedy you are.

I’m with Ken. Check craigslist, LFS selling stuff on consignment, farmers market etc.

  I like to make my own, they turn out alot better and you can make them alot more fancy then any production unit.

But keep your eyes open especially on craigs list theres alway stuff on there.

so its actually a perfecto and i ended up buying a stand since last night i dont have any carp skills or time really but im in the hunt for a cheap 48inch strip light or free or any kinda light im looking for a bunch of stuff willing to pay .

here is another question i will throw out here since im going to have 75 reef ready was going to get 30 gallon and make a fuge can some one design on for me show me what a good setup would be like should i use sand or reef mud and what kinda plants should i use whjat kinda light for fuge

i have a pretty clean eshopps 24X12X16 sump plus asm mini g skimmer that ran my 65 for a year. it has not been in water since march, but i doubt that matters. $35 and both are yours and pick it up in smyrna. if interested, i’ll test skimmer. LMK

I have a 30 sump under my 125, and its working nice for me. So i just mimic’d it in a 20L version to go under my 30 frag…no air bubbles… as far as light, i use a 6500k CF spotlight (grows chaeto like CRAZY). hopefully i’ll have pics of it in operation within a couple days!

If you change your mind, and what more than a strip light, Coralife, four footer , with moons, days, and 150 watt mh’s , pm me. Figures,tho, I just tossed a 4 foot stand from my 90.

I do have another MH , 250 watts, by their lonsomes.
Mud works good, but If your’ going thinking refuge, DSB for full nitrogen cycle.

WELCOME BACK YahoO i have a 4ft current 260w pc it needs new bulbs and legs, buut i’d give it to ya for real cheap pm me if you want it

Have the same fixture as above(48" 4 PC bulbs) and really want to get rid of it. $20 and it’s yours. Also needs new bulbs and I may or may not have legs for it.(does not have moon lights)
