At the Reef Hut, we take the health of our livestock seriously. For that reason, our store will be closed this weekend.
Like countless others, The Reef Hut suffered a power outage due to Hurricane Sandy. Consequently we were forced to run our system off of a generator for almost 24 hours. We were back up and running as of yesterday, but we want to keep a close eye on our fish and corals to make sure that they suffered no ill effects from the outage. We would rather err on the side of safety, than to sell a less than healthy product to our customers.
For this same reason, we did not place an order for delivery this week. We still have plenty of pre-hurricane livestock, that will be available for sale after the weekend.
We will be placing a large order next week. If you have any special requests, please do not hesitate to let us to know.
