used my glass viewer for the first time with a camera. warning clam content:
Those are some nice looking clams you have…
Awsome, Paul. Wish the reflection off those LED are not in there. It’ll probably be a really nice pic.
Wow! thats a nice clam!
those are only 3 or 4 out of 11 or 12 that he has. All beauties!
Jealous of the clams, jealous of the LEDs. That looks sweet Paul.
thanks guys, i appreciate it. just love clammies. and now i seem to really like the top down viewer, if i can continue to get good shots that way, i will take more.
last check of ca was 460 and alk was 9+
Yes, top down picks are the best for corals or clams. But tell me why, when i look at my Dr. mac blue maxima from the top it looks teal blue, and when i look in from the side through the glass it looks deep blue with some purple?

the complicated made simple through precise use of words. light-reflecting cells -called iridophores located in clam’s eye structures and throughout the mantle take light and reflect it in some manner so as to change its color. exactly what makes a crow seem black to our eyes or a cardinal seem red, when crows are not black at all, and cardinals are not red. the iridophores are messin w/yr eyes.
awesome paul i need a tutorial on camera settings. i can never get good pics. but heres a question who ever has starphire glass do the colors change with starphire glass or are top downs the same i thought the colors changed because of the green in the glass. just a guess though
