My wife is playing in a volley ball tournament on the 20th to benefit the easter Seals. Her company has agreed to match all donations dollar for dollar. She is currently 3rd in all registered participants - and she’s got this whole competitive thing where she’d really like to be first.

The weekend of March 19-21, 2010, my teammates and I will be joining up to 200 other teams on the volleyball courts to help raise money for children and adults with disabilities in our community. The CAI/Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge is taking place at the University of Delaware’s Carpenter Sports Building. This is the 29th year that this event has been held. I have agreed to not only play 90 minutes of volleyball, but to also involve my personal network of friends, family, and business associates to help my team reach our fundraising goal of $ 150.00.
All funds raised through the Volleyball Challenge will help Easter Seals provide services and programs such as: Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapies, Adult Day Health Services, Adults with Developmental Disabilities Day Services, Recreational and Respite services, and Assistive Technology to children and adults with disabilities in Delaware and on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. For the past 28 years, the National Health Council has ranked Easter Seals No. 1 among its members for funneling the most annual revenues to patient services. Nearly 90% of funds raised goes directly to programs and services.
Statistics show that one in five people will be affected by a disability at some point in their lifetime. I hope you will help me make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities by sponsoring my participation in the CAI/Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge.
