The last piece to finish (actually start) my DIY LED lights is a heatsink. I have 37 LEDs and will be probably going over a 36x18" foot print tank. I was considering a 10x24 sink from heatsinkusa but its almost $100! A lot of people use U channel, but you have to use 1.5x1.5 minimum along with high quality aluminum which I can’t seem to find. Also, with U channel you do run the risk of over heating, while it is a lot cheaper then a traditional heatsink, I don’t want to burn out my LEDs. I will be running dual 92mm vantec stealth fans, so I should be ok I am hoping. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use? Where to get it? Thanks!
