What do you feed your fish? What is good food?what is bad food?what makes good food good and bad food bad? All fish food has some sort of phosphates in it to keep it from going bad. If it didn’t it would go bad as soonas it was opened. I spoke to elos and they said there food has phosphates in for just that reason. So my question is just that what’s good and what not good for your fish And or your whole tank?
Good question.
What makes a Five Guys burger better than a McDonald’s burger?
Processing actually. I tend to try to stick to frozen or fresh foods for my tank. 5 Star Reef Bar, Rod’s Food, shrimp and scallops from the grocery store, nori, etc. Flake and pellet food is more processed, and usually contains more phosphates than fresh or frozen foods.
i think most frozen food needs tobe soaked in sw to remove crap water from the manufacturer; not rod’s or 5 star though as they are meant to dissolve in the tank . rozen hihari mysis is a good shrmp to feed.
I use a lot of Ed’s, Almost natural Tropical Fish Food flake. I buy the Salt Water Flake and Brine Shrimp Flake. Everything loves it. I just bought another 1/4 pound vacuum pack pouch from him tonight at the DSAS FW club meeting. It comes in garlic too if you like. But I don’t have any Itralian fish or vampire squid to chase off.
Custom made in west chester Pa. Ive been using it for 3 or 4 years now. You can drop by next months DSAS meeting and buy some from Ed. He brings a couple boxes of the stuff. It’s all natural except the bag.
