Does anyone know of any place in north DE that sells weld on? I dropped my hood this morning and cracked it (like 2’ crack).
I didn’t have time to snap pics in between expletives. I checked Lowes and Home Depot but neither seem to stock it.
Thanks

Auto parts stores carry things like JB weld and plastic weld. Try them.
I am only ever able to find it online
Is JB Weld the same as Weld on? I think home depot has that.
Can I use epoxy or super glue or do they not bond to acrylic?
JB Weld is not like Weld-on, I have not found a local retail supplier of Weld-on, what is your hood made of ? What are you trying to do seal it or just a structural bond?

My hood is made of white acrylic that I spray painted black. I need to bond 2 sides of it back together because it cracked. I will take a picture when I get home.
if you are just looking to bond it, you can use super glue gel or super glue for plastic, if you go with super glue gel, moisten both sides of the plastic, if you get the super glue for plastic it should come with an activator
I get weldon at a little old hardware store in Aston on Concord Rd(Venuti’s hardware). Don’t know how close you are but it is about 4 miles off of 95 north at 452. might try and see if you have a store similar to this in your area. It’s just a little store packed to the gills and if they don’t have you don’t need it.
Mburke is that Weld-on 16 that they carry ?
Thanks hudzon i’ll just superglue it back. Is weldon more for fixing cracks on tanks?
i have bought mine, in the past, at Kaufman Glass Co. on Quigley blvd. across from the back of farmers market, and near the post office. first gray building on the left going down hill from 273 behind farmers market.
weldon 16 is a tube of the thickened syrup, like the consistancy of airplane glue. weldon 3 and 4 are the clear, thin bonding fluid/solvents. one fast setting, one a bit slower. i forget which is which.
3 is slower setting than 4 I believe. I didnt get a chance to snap a pic yesterday because i was too excited/busy breaking the tank down so I could clean it this weekend!
