I’d like to see all the frags everyone got at the Pollyanna …
I’ll go first…Blasto’s from Chris & Barb…sweet frag… doing great right away! PBJ!
Steph grabbed the brown bag that had a Lobophytum or Devil’s hand leather that Jared had brought. I first got the bag that I brought, then exchanged it for some zoanthids that Sarah brought in? I think that was the name on the bag. Two plugs in one bag!
We also picked up some sweet frags from Houndsbayman John(slimer, Monti, and cloves) and a pipe organ coral from Rich.
I haven’t grabbed pictures just yet.

I picked up an orange Digi
A Green trumpet (that for some reason I don’t have a pic of)
And Ian got a nice Pocilipora that I am holding until he sets a tank up

Well I got these two Beautiful frags. The bag was marked Nicole? So thanks Nicole , And thanks to John who gave me his ticket and some great advice Much appreciated. Now that I seen the shots of your tank I see why you didn’t need it. And also thanks to Craig for making it a point to come over and personally introduce himself and carried great convo thanks. Great crowd of people & good vibes!!!

Rosti… i do set the w/b on the camera, that shot was taken under only 2 bars of actinics…so i had to play with the w/b in post editing also… i’m thinking about having a camera/ reef shooting get together sometime after the new year…interested?? anybody else??? i’ll start another thread when it gets closer…

Back to the WB question(pre processing), did you shoot white paper (or gray card) and used it as custom WB or you set specific color temp? The reason I am asking is I tried to shoot white paper under MH but its not enough, much better if I shoot under actinics light and use this image as custom WB. I haven’t done it post processing because I don’t have time to play with RAW.
I don’t really have it down to a perfect science… it seems easy to get the camera to balance white like you mentioned with the card…but that to me doesn’t look like I see it through my eyes… i just keep playing around with diff w/b settings and see which looks best, also, diff heights and depths change my color…at least in my tank with all the t5’s… so i’m still experimenting, but, a good starting setting, like when i take pics in dpa, or other lfs’s seems to be “sunlight”… on your camera can you set custom w/b color temps…

Mine only goes to 10k and it looks way too blue, I just take first shot of white paper under actinic and use this for custom WB. New canons like 5,6,7Ds are capable of 20k which is perfect for reef tanks.
Film cameras don’t have this problems because film captures analog signal (WYSIWYG), and digital captures representation of analog. Still I don’t miss film.
There were a lot more brown bags then that. Who got what? Curious who ended up with the frags Steph and I brought it.
