I am looking for K4’s atleast 2 of them. I might be interested in seios, I am just looking for powerheads for my 210g FO tank. I tried the modded maxijets but mine is ridiculously loud. Don’t know if something is messed up with it or not, but I’d rather not go that route. If anyone has anything, let me know, thanks. :BEER
I’d try playing around with the mod again. I have 3 of them, two of which have been running for about a year now and you can not hear them unless the water level gets low and there is splashing. Andy set up three on wave makers in his tank and had a problem with one making noise and he replaced it and I believe hasn’t had problems since. You could also try contacting the company, which is fairly small and reachable, and talk with them about the noise to see if anything could be done.
Other then that, I have no spare power heads for poor college students, lol. Sorry.

Yeah, I wonder if it was the mod that did it or the powerhead was too old and cant take it. I dunno, but I think I’d rather go with koralias. If you add up the price of a maxijet1200, the mod and magnet, your probably more then a K4. I am not looking for free powerheads or the like, just because I am a college kid. But I am looking for 2-4 K4 powerheads new or used condition. I’d rather just buy them all at once, the stores usually only have 1-2 in at a time. Plus certain stores (TPP) I only have a coupon for one item 
Some LFS order frequently, but it still could take as much as 3-4 days to come in. Depends on how fast you need them. You said in you’re original post you were looking for 2.

Well I’d have to assume since the tank still didn’t have water in it 4 days ago you’ll have pleanty of time to get one of our fine LFS to order some for you - even if it takes a week to come in your still 3 away from being cycled anyway.

I never really have much of a cycle. I get aged water from my reef, FO tank, and my brothers tanks as well. I am trying to see if I can find them cheaper then $45 each, since that is what they’d be at PA. These are also for my reef as well, so having them now would be nice, but no rush. I think I found a lead on few powerheads for sale. Thanks everyone.

+1 the noise is the only drawback. mine can be very quiet, then out of the blue ill hear the “electronic hum” at first i thought it was a MJ, but all of them do, and one is brand new. its intermittant on all three, but i think the noise on mine is instigated by the wavemaker.
Does that mean you are selling the MJ’s?
