Be forwarned that they do keep their value and the saving for most is in only in the $50.00 - $100.00 range

I just got back from Shawn’s; he has a lot of equipment left for sale. I ended up purchasing the last ecotech mp20 off of him. He does still have many miscellaneous types of reef equipment from reactors to powerheads.
Hi Andrew, do you need the MP20 ? or did you just not want to pass up the deal ?
The reason I’m asking is I got the MP10 but could really use the 20 if your not using it.
Sorry, but I am using it for a new tank that I am setting up soon.

And they don’t stay listed long either. Which is one of two reasons I don’t buy them used.

Reason number two I haven’t bought one used. Drop one on the ground and you take a fairly loud pump, as far as many are concerned, and make it extremely loud or worse it’s just done. The ecosmart modules are also not weather proof and you can find plenty for sale that have some water damage.
So out of warranty, buying from a total stranger, or waiting two years checking the forum daily to save… $50? For an out of warranty pump($50 alone is worth the warranty) If you find an MP40 that is $100 cheaper then new MP40wES… take a look into it more for $100 you can add the ES module with some manual laber and you paid as much for a used pump as you do for new + shipping on both the ES module and the MP40…
I try to save money in a lot of ways. I shop for way to long to save $5. Used Vortech… won’t even save you the $5 just wastes your time in my opinion.
That being said if anyone is looking for a VorTech MP10w ES I have a used one available for $240. It has been used for around 8-9 months.

wanted to thank armani4o3 for selling me this great mp40 thing is amazing perfect condition, works wonderfull . has made a huge change in my tank allready. I couldnt do another setup with out one of these amazing pumps. All in all a great buy !!!
