Wtb/wtt LEDs for T5

I’m looking for a 48" ATI light fixture 6-8 bulb would rather have 8 bulb

What I have to trade is 4 Chinese LEDs 165watt 55*3 about 2-1/2 years old

Can pay cash or can trade let me know what you have and if you want to see pics of the LEDs

Thanks for looking

if I had one I would. I am wondering why you would want to switch I am assuming you had t5 moved to led and weren’t happy.

oh and :Welcome)

Thanks for welcome been watching for awhile
Well I started with MH and they were great just to much heat went to LEDs and just not happy with color or growth and heard great things about T5 so would like to give them a try

Ok yeah I have tried them all but backwards. I just put my first MH up about 2 months ago. Still waiting for corals to adapt. I think all have their ups and downs. Good luck I’m certain someone here will take your offer those Chinese ones work I have recently seen proof. Hope he will chime in.

FWIW, there are a lot of LED lovers on this forum, but I am not one. T5 and MH are still my preference and I dont blame you for changing… you might want to watch RC and cragslist. there are rigs avaialable often with so many people on the bandwagon for LEDs…

::hitsthefan:: hey bob not everybody is led fans! Lol I use led,mh,vho and t5! I’m in the same boat as you though,I’m not completely sold as led for the only lighting.

Dan did you use any other lights with led?(t5 as a supplement)? And another thing to consider is that the led has changed a lot in almost 3 yrs. jus sayin :TWOCENTS

I have been using three eshine LED’s for over a year now, and am very happy. I started with two of the 55 X 3w fixtures, and used them for about a year successfully, before buying the eshine’s.

Your right I was thinking about up grading the LEDs but I think I’m going to take your advice and get some T5 retro kit to add my LEDs are white and blue what do suggest I go with Color wise? I would like to run 4 tubes under the canopy 2 in the front of the LEDs and 2 in the back

Jim you have great growth in your tank are your LEDs white and blue only or do have any color I feel like I might be missing some color in my coral I wanted to see if I could add some color without upgrading my LEDs

Yeah, just 12,000K white, and 455nm Royal Blues. Each of the 3 fixtures has 24 of each color.

Dan most people are using 420nm or super attinic, that’s what I’m using.
