It doesn’t even look like a mushroom anymore… it has been one of the easiest critters I’ve kept in this tank. All other corals are opening up and doing their thing. This guy is just bugging out… :

If food is unlucky enough to fall on to the body of the mushroom it will close up around it and swallow it. I used to be able to feed mmine small pieces of silversides.
That’s crazy. Never seen it do that. It’s already growing like a weed… Might be frag time … I just looked over and he’s opening back up. Thanks Cdangel0!

I suppose you’ve never seen pictures of a mushroom similar to yours with a fish tail hanging out of it? I believe Wittenrech took one like that with a cardinal like that, but I could be wrong.
I’ve not seen that photo! Wow, I’m kinda amazed, it seems so floppy and benevolent. That means absolutely nothing in nature, I know.
It was the first thing I saw this morning though… I was confounded within 15 minutes of waking up. lol
