so i finally got up the nerve to cut into this guy…i cut out two little frags with a razor…
i tried to cut out a triangle like shape. Once you cut the top layer of flesh, there is like a white skeleton underneath which was tough to cut…it actually made the frags easy to work with and glue…
the first couple days the main colony and both frags actually looked horrible, and i thought the frags would die…about a day later the main colony opened back up and the area where i cut was already looking better…
about a day later both frags have opened up and look good…they are in pretty strong current and located in the middle of my 55…
during the process i ran a big bag of carbon also…they are under my 6 T-5’s
