That site is the same one I have used. I tried to find names for my different Zoas but they don’t have official names. You could call it anything you want. Under different light it will look different

i know i have some in my frag under 2 cfs and some in my display under 2 pcs. i think i have the wham’n watermelon

They are zoanthus sp.

Anybody who will give them a name other than that is trying to make a buck. Any zoanthid can change its color based on lighting and stress factors. I had a BTA settle in my zoa colony for a week. When it left, the normally orange skirted zoas are now yellow, and its been almost a year and they havent changed back.

im trying to get some idea of what i can get for it.i dont know what it’s worth. if i were selling nuke deaths for 6$ when i could be getting 15$ i would feel stupid. im not trying to take advantage of anyone. im trying to get somewhere close to what i should. i learned that you should do reasearch befor you buy or sell something so u dont end up looking fullish.

If the person who sold them to you told you they were watermelons, then you can say they are, too, and charge appropriately.

If you bought them as zoanthids, then you can safely say they’re zoanthids.

But if you bought them as zoanthids and sell them as watermelons, then you’re gonna look, as you say, “fullish”.

Wasnt trying to insult you Brett, just trying to make a point about the “naming” trend. I appreciate a colorful coral just as much as the next person, I just dont see paying 10$ a polyp for something that grows fairly fast.
