125g to 750g UPgrade!

Good luck!! post pics.

did you reseal or just do the inside seams ?

Ummmmm… Im guessing just the inside seams. I didnt dismantle any glass. Just cut seams from inside.

Well, its 3/4 of the way full and i dont see any leaks so far!!

Got the tank up, running, and clear. Which was not easy! It was even harder and longer to get this thing to the right temp!!! Anyway 3 days ago I transferred my LR and corals over to the 750. Im pretty sure everything is gonna make it. After damn near having to scuba to get my rockscape the way i wanted it i realized that, Im gonna need to put A LOT more stuff in this tank! >LOCO< Its a good thing I live about 20 minutes from Dr. Macs!!! ;D I’ll post pics or a link tomorrow!

Sweeet. look forward to seeing it. I bet everything out of the 125 barely made a dent huh…

Pics are a little mixed up but here they are!

That is one hell of a tank. It will sure be a site to see when it is done. Wish I could convince my other half to let me upgrade that big hahahaha.

Toadstool doesn’t look so big anymore! Maybe I missed it but what are the dimensions on this tank?

'10x’4x’3

Perfect dimensions! Can’t wait to see it fully stocked!

Me too! I’ll have to hit the lotto first!! !

no really… he’s filthy rich, he used to work at Fishman. they had a great retirement plan ::rofl::

Hey, I worked there in 97 when they were reputable and one of the best around! Maybe if I would’ve stayed there… With an expert like me… :GOLD) Nah, guess not.

So hows that tank coming along? I got a toadstool to help take up space in that huge tank

+1 on the up date.

Sorry it’s been so long… I had a little set back. I came in to my shop and found about 100 gallons of water on the floor. I didn’t have enough support around the top of the tank and the front pane pushed out half an inch. It popped a seal in the top left corner and leaked. I got very lucky. I could’ve lost the whole front pane and been really heartbroken. I drained it almost all the way and resealed it. Its doin good now. I’m having trouble getting my alk and calcium stable but I’m getting there. I’m hoping to get it stable by the frag swap. I wanna start doing a lot of sps. I’ve been giving away TONS of Kenya trees. I’ll post pics soon!

That hurts. The bright side is it wasn’t fully stocked and you didst lose livestock or a huge pane of glass.

I would recommend not chasing calcium and alk if you don’t have anything in the tank, it is usually tough to get them belated in a new set up, sometimes its best to focus in keeping your PH in range and letting calc and alk quit swinging before trying to get them perfect.

When its time for them to be perfect ask Ken or Jon for help.

How is the tank coming along? All the pictures are old now…
