Thanks! I was just in Orlando last week but didn’t have time to get over to WWC. I’ll be there again the week before the frag swap. I’m going to try and get there at some point that week.
Great pics. Tank is looking great!!! YahoO
Very nice, keep us updated on progress
I took some pictures with my dive camera. They came out surprisingly well, mostly. Here are my two favorites.
Had a great time at the swap. Picked up some awesome stuff too. Here are some quick pictures…
Nice pick up Adam. Hope they do well for you.
Here’s what I got at Dr Mac’s yesterday. iPhone pic, but you get the idea. Front three and middle left.
I can no longer attach pictures apparently… Here’s a link to the pic elsewhere
They look really good, especially against the black substrate. ::
In other news today… I got to the bottom of an outbreak of something in my tank. I couldn’t decide if they are hydroids or aiptasia. I was going back and forth. Figured it out today… Aiptasia. I’m actually happy it isn’t hydroids. You can do a fenbendazole treatment for them but it is hell on inverts. Aiptasia outbreaks are no fun by at least I can get some berghia nudis and be done with it. Here are a few vids I took today that finally settled it…
This morning before the lights, I noticed these big guys. They’re not there when the lights are up.
I’ve seen these guys for weeks and couldn’t decide based on their size if they were aiptasia or not.
Anyone know a local source for berghias? I’m going to see if Mike can order them for me.
Mike’s been having a hard time getting them in. That stinks. I guess I’ll order them online.
In other news, my tank is a year old I took a real quick cellphone video this morning. Starting to get pretty full with frags. After I clear them off the sand I’m only going to have a few places left on the rocks. You know what that means… Time to get the frag tank up!

It means you need a bigger tank!
Darn straight! I have the frag tank already. I think I have all the equipment for it too. Need to figure out where to put it. I could put it behind my desk in my office, next to the cube. I wouldn’t mind that. My wife on the other hand… Not so sure she would approve.
1 big tank for everyone!
She said I could get a giant tank for the basement. Only problem is the basement isn’t finished.
Why you wasting time with me then? Get to work!
Ha! Sure, sure. I’ll just go whip up a finished basement real quick. lOl
I don’t think she’d have much of an issue with me putting the frag tank in my office to be honest. That aside, I need a stand for it. My 50g is on a stand that doesn’t really match the room. So do I make a stand for the frag tank that matches the room and then eventually upgrade the 50g stand? Or do I make one that matches the 50g? Or do I change them both?
I have ten new berghia nudibranch friends in my crew and they don’t take kindly to aiptasia. This one went to knock on one’s door to let it know it was time to be shipping out.
Pickups from this weekend
Bam bams
Pink zoas
Pink kraks
Emeralds on fire
Vulcan blood
Nudibranches are doing their thing. They took down the aiptasia on the Vulcan blood frag in the last pic above.
Got my first new fish in years. I ordered 5 Vanderbilt chromis from Blue Zoo Aquatics. They came packed really well and they all looked pretty good going into QT. Two of them had spots this morning and I freaked out thinking it was velvet. Went to three different stores to get the supplies I needed and when I got home the spots were gone.
Looks like just ick, I hope. I’m doing the tank transfer method so I’ll know in a few days for sure one way or the other.
They’re hard to photograph with my phone so I’ll try and snap some pics with the DSLR later.
