Alemba3 Tank Tour

OK after much thought on the subject, I have come to the conclusion that me taking pictures of my tank will not serve the club or myself well. I have a horrible time getting good shots. I would on the other hand be willing to host a tank tour after the Holidays. So if there is anybody interested, let me know.

Now You’re talking! Im sure everyone will be all in for the treat!

Now that sounds like a club event to organize!!!

Mike can you let me know what day you’d like to have us over and we can arrange it?

I’ve heard enough about this tank to know it will be a treat. I will even personally higher the doormen to frisk for razor blades and other fragging items.

Let me check my schedule and I will get back to you with a date.

Ok guys checked the schedule then checked my wife’s schedule then I checked the kids schedule. Just when I thought I had it all covered, I realized I didnt check the scout schedule. I came up with a date and I hope January 7th will work for everyone. I was thinking like 7pm. Let me know who is interested. I will send out directions when we see who is coming.

not the 7th. :~S cannot make it. major work poker tourney, championship and $150 on the line. any other time i’d be there.

I’d be down for then.

Oh by the way I promised to keep you guys up to date on the progress with the bio pellets. It has been about two weeks and the literature says it should take 6 to 8 weeks if you do not seed the pellets. I did seed the pellets with Prodibio Bio Digest and I have noticed a difference. I was having to clean my glass daily before the bio pellets. I am down to cleaning the glass every three days and still the amount of algae on the glass is minimal. It may be a hard call with the corals since I did notice a color change about a month ago and noticed last week that I had RED BUG I have treated and corals are coming back nicely. I will let you guys know if I notice anything else.

Any other changes? More frequent water changes, other media added like carbon or phosban, fuge maintenance, or was most everything else held constant?

What type(brand/model) of reactor are you using or do you have them in a bag?

So who’s up for this event in January??

This will be a great opportunity to see a beautiful tank and an incredible fish room.

Please post here is you’re interested in taking Mike up on his generous offer to have us in to his home.

Craig you should bring the club par meter and get reading on Mike’s tank

I wish I had off on Friday evenings, this is a beautiful in wall tank

Here are some pictures (do not do the tank justice) That I took 2 years ago when we whet to Mike’s. It was from a February meeting in 2008

id like to check it out

I’d like to come check it out as well, but won’t know until that day how work goes. I too want to hold a tank tour once all my tanks and house is done. But it will have to be awhile after alemab3’s because I don’t want that gorgeous tank fresh in everyone’s minds when they see mine, haha. If I can’t make it, someone take a camera and take pics to post!!!

If Mike is still up for it I would love to see it.

I’ll be there with a camera in hand. Pretty sure Steph will want to come as well as she loved the tank the last time she got to see it in person.
