you could use square to get paid, i think that would be pretty simple.
Credit card swipers for smartphones is not to bad on the % they charge you if you only do the free way which is only around $1,000/month they provide lower rates if you pay and plan on getting over so much a month.
I bought one for my phone for people that can’t pay cash when I work on their cars but I just havnt activated it yet. I got bored after reading all the small print. LOL.
I might be interested in setting up a frag tank not sure yet. I have some things I would like to sell.

Banks now survive on fine print. In my opinion it’s really unethical. Just like internet and television bill randomly increasing while internet connections randomly disappear and speed constantly decreases.(blah vent)
Cash is King! and the custom. And that is why everyone uses Fragswapper dot com to pre-arrange and reserve sales. then everyone brings the correct change. or for those just thinking about it till the last minute, to see what swappers have for sale. and maybe buy one at the swap, not reserved, from available stock.
I am with Ken on this. Let’s find out the nearest location of ATMs. Cash is indeed king. No declined cards,no worries about whose card is it and most of all no transaction fees. (I just got done reviewing my 1099-k form from my credit card processor for last year) Unfortunately it is such a large portion of my business a neccessary evil. If venders are going to accept credit cards they should already be set up with processors and banks.
This is a detail mostly for the vendors to work out. I just wanted to recommend that the DRC volunteers know where ATMs are locally.
What other ideas do we have? What else needs to get done? What else is being done? I’m excited this event is coming and I know the officers are working behind the scenes, but I want to hear more teasers.

Pretty good number of people.
7 swappers have posted items for sale. I am going to try to work to get some items listed by the end of next week. Who else is posting items?
yup, we need pics for swaps on the swapper site. thats how it works. pre-arranged sales. soon as i start fragging some, John said he might take some pics for me. cuz i dont have a camera yet. unless I get one soon. So i would suguest members with higher value items for sale like special acros or custom aquacultured fish post pics on frag swapper to advertise the price and quantity available. then confirm requests for purchase at the swap. thats how it works best. cash and carry.
I have reserved frags before hand from all the swaps i have gone to. and then after collecting them at the swap, spent time picking extra items from display tanks there. a little of both. got to have some extra cash for impulse buys.

just say when, Ken ::
I have started a listing on fragswapper.com and I have to take some pics of the frags I will be selling at the swap and place them on my list. Should be doing it shortly.
I registered but don’t know how to list and post pics I stink at that lol

Click on the “My Listings” button up top of the fragswapper page.
Over on the left is the option to “List New Item”
ok cool and do you copy and paste from photo bucket to post pics?
yes
I did not see my name on the attendy list
Finished posting my items for sale with pics on fragswapper.com. Will be posting a couple more frag items when they heal from being cut.
now we’re cooking ::
I just looked on fragswapper, a lot of you guys are on the ball already. YahoO
lots of cool pieces ::
I finally added some corals. Still got more I think I might add. Debating if I want to get rid of my red/teal/green lobo brain.
We’re now at about 20 vendors setting up tables with more requests coming in daily.
We’ll have everything from frags, to food, to t-shirts. If this keeps up we’re going to give MACNA a run for their money :: ok maybe not, but I’m really impressed with how this is shaping up.
Now if I could just start sleeping again.
