February 28th Meeting Details

February 28, 2011
7 PM
William Penn High School
Cafeteria

With January’s meeting behind us it’s time t start talking about the February meeting.

What do you want to see? Presentation ideas? Slide show? A clown on stilts juggling live godfish while playing a kazoo?

These are your meetings - speak up and be heard - what can we offer you in February?

a time for questions on any topic from the members, with no excessive crowd background noise.
a discussion on aquascaping, how to arrange and techniques to keep things stable
a discussion on frag placement, meaning how to do it best within the tank
oh, and a juggling kazoo wearing stilts playing a clown goldfish

I don’t know how many members would have an interest… But how about a reef photography workshop / Q&A.

John I think that is a great idea.

I think there would be a lot of interest John. You always take good pictures. and people are always trying to get their true colors in their pics. but it always comes out blue. What can we do?

Sign me up John

Any help I can get would be great. PoM

+1 on a photo workshop. YahoO PBJ!

Then we should get a camera as the golden ticket raffle. slap-stick :BEER

Golden Ticket Item will be a BRAND NEW 25g RIMLESS CUBE TANK!!!

If anyone is interested in getting their refractometer calibrated I’ll bring my salinity calibration fluid?

There will be a reef photography presentation / workshop at this months meeting, hopefully we’ll setup a small tank ( frag tank makeover) and be able to shoot some pics and get some immediate help/feedback. I’ll try to get some diff kinds of lighting over it to suit everyones needs. I’ll start a new thread when it gets closer to get some feedback on what everyone would like to gain from this, and try to accommodate… And if photography’s not your thing, we’ll at least have lot’s of cool reef-related pics to look at, and some different camera’s and lenses to check out if you’re thinking about getting one… Also, you don’t have to drop a grand on a camera to be involved, point and shoot cameras give some great results with just a few setting changes. No camera snobs here, bring whatever you got!

that puffer makes a dentist smile. great shot!
