Looks great. I’d test the saltcreep frag for doping. Any frag growing that fast has to be using performance enhancing suppliments. ::
I would like to be on the waiting list for the pearl berry and turaki ::drool::
Jason, when you come down on the Mac trip I can have them for you.
They all look great John
thanks Bill
Nice I want a pearlberry turaki and your favorite lol!!
Thanks Tim.
No problem, whenever you want them.
LED’s we’re the 1st “real” lights I had on my tank. Before that I was using a clip-on light that did double duty as my fugue light, and a AquaticLife 60 LED…1w per LED light bar. Needless to say, all this growth has been under ReefBreeder Full Spectrum LEDs in my 90gal with Zero lenses.
I know I don’t have any complex acropora in here yet but…
Favia as I got it from my 1st DRC meeting:
Dragon Soul Favia (From Moliken’s liverock I purchased)
Frogspawn: Original scan above growing up a little too.
Month or two later: A few pieces have broken off from me hitting them while moving things around too.
Again…I’ve knocked this one around a bit…oops!
Earliest picture of the Setosa and Hollywood Stunner that I could find:
You said the growth was from your first DRC meeting, when was that?
dates would be real helpful
Woah - incredible progress and nice recoveries!!
Good call. I’ll put a little more effort in and try to nail down original dates. I’ll update my post ASAP.
WOW! that’s some growth Rob and colors too. I guess Paul (Moliken) missed out on that Dragon Soul Favia. That thing turned out nice.
Nice job, Rob!
Those corals are looking great! But you know, i wouldn’t give all the credit to the LED lights alone. The LEDs give them the extra energy they need for photosynthesis, but without proper water Chemiical and Biological balance, they would not grow as well. You must be doing a good job of keeping the parameters up. and by seeing the clean rock, mostly void of green fuzzies, you probably keep low phosphates too. That is very important for growth. excess phosphates inhibit calcification and coral growth.
Very nice! Apparently the extra punch of the LEDs was all you needed.
Looking Good!
This is a comparison of growth pics of one frag. Please take note to the dates.
