sorry, I fell down. I was going to check with the Hilton Hotel by christiana hospital, to see what a conference room would cost ot rent. but didnt. that would be a good travel location. right at a I95/rte 1 exit.

We have two ppl saying to postpone till next year, two saying we should find out if he’s still available for this year. When I said:

To date, I have, at the behest of the officers,
(1) reached out to surrounding clubs to try to gauge their interest in this event and
(2) identified a potential place (including cost) for the event.
To date, Marty has:
(1) made contact with Sprung’s assistant, who has requested the details ASAP.
So, let me reiterate:
seven weeks to go to April 5th. as much as i would like to spend time conversing with Julian, I dont feel we have enough time to arrange a meaningful event and attendance. a one person event will last one hour at best, a bit more with question and answer time after the presentation. and perhaps a bit more casual time over a beer. like if held at a hotel or Moose lodge. but then that has liabilities, too.
his current reservations would be to fly home monday from baltimore. we would need to return him to his hotel there Sunday evening. unless he has confirmation from us of the engagement and can change and we pay for his stay in wilmington Sunday night and depart from Phily. airport monday morning.
Would there be enough local interest for a one speaker eventon a sunday evening? IDK? I think the first thing we should have done was ask Julian his requirements, plans and any costs we need to pay. Then, plan and schedule around that, if we still desired to or thought it feasible.
Anything more hopeful?
