My first little nano

Well since I never did one this small kinda new to nano tanks but I had it sitting around and have extra rock laying everywhere why not set one up. Not happy with the light but it works for now. Only a piece of kenyon and couple mushrooms but there workin it. Tank was still little fuzzy in the pic. Hopefully get some updated pics tomorrow.

hey i actually like that rockwork, it makes a nice little cave there. and youll have some nice spots fro some corals. good luck with it!

Thanks alot. Theres a pass through under the rocks so water ever fish can swim all the way through.

Up-dated pic

pretty nice.

im gunna guess its a 26 bow front?

what kinda light are u going to use?

so ill guess that your going to do softies/mushrooms?

i wounder if u could do something like a sea horse tank?

Thanks Bret

It’s actually a 5 gallon, it’s got just a small hang on. Not sure about the light looking at a LED , has a small power compact right.

Not sure whats going in it right now. just has some mushrooms and a stray piece of kenyon right now.

i was going to guess 26 also, im kinda curious who bought my 26 bow front and 4x24w T5 fixture from DPA

Not sure on the tank Tim but mine is just a baby.

Nice little nano bill. The small tanks can be fun. I have tons of xenia let me know if you want some.

Feather Caulerpa why ya need some?

i would get rid of the taxifolia before it plants too many hold fasts. You cant get rid of it later. If you want a benign macro that looks nice in the tank, i would prefer Prolifera. Its much easier to control. the tax keeps coming back from the hold fasts long after you get tired of it. the prolifera is nicer to look at and control for in tank macro.

that has been my experience with both. Ive kept rock infested with taxifolia, in a dark, unheated covered barrel with only an air stone for 6 months. But when i take some out to mount frags on, the taxifolia grows back. go figure.

It’s in my fuge Ken,have a couple pieces of rock with it on it. But not any in my display tank. That rock is easy enough to remove and clean if I need to so not realy worried about it. Just put it in there for right now for some movement.

Lol, no I’m good Bill. Is that glass or acrylic?

Little acrylic tank

Couple little additions today.

Twin spot

Little yellow watchman gody still getting used the new home

like the twin spot goby. seen a few of these around lately.

I really like them also. Need to find something it’ll like to eat. Not a real lot in the sand, don’t want him to starve.
