Where is the skimmer located? how deep of water is it in? what type of skimmer is it usually an in sump skimmer requires to be in a 8"-9" of water for it to work properly. Pics of the new skimmer and its location?
I got it working. I guess I assumed it would bubble over the top as soon as I plugged it in. I left it on for a few hours and the foam gradually reached the top it’s starting to have a little collect in the cup. My issue now is all the tiny bubbles in my tank since the he skimmer is at the end next to the return pumps. So i think if I move it to the other side of the sump the bubble will work themselves out. I’m planning on redoing the whole system.
Yup, I’d put it in the drain compartment. That should give bubbles time to precipitate out before it reach the return pump.
And by adjusting the skimmer height, you can change between wet and dry skimming.
