I just setup autofeeders on both of my tanks. Took some tinkering to get the feedings right, but hopefully it is good now (after dumping a months worth of food in yesterday!). I know its nothing crazy, but it helps me out a lot with my random busy work schedule and trips to the beach. An auto frozen food feeder would be great but I don’t have the means to put that together.

Sweet, how do you like the autofeeders? What brand?
Eheim, thats what I was told was the best. I am still getting them figured out, but to be honest, I don’t like them that much. Who is to say they don’t mess up and dump a lot of food into my tank when I am not looking? Plus I don’t know how the food stays fresh either. I don’t have much of a choice but to not use them though. I need to feed my fish several times a day to keep them happy, from fighting and eating corals, not to mention it isn’t fair when I go away for a few days or work all day and they don’t get fed.
i have always used the fishmate. pretty inexpensive. easy to use. and nice to be able to feed different things in each compartment. (or different amounts) ex. i have mine dropping a small feeding in the AM of nls flake. and then a med. size drop of flake/nls pellets in the afternoon. and i feed nightly. (frozen/algae/whatever) only holds 14 feedings and feeds up to 4x a day i think. so u would have to refill more often with more daily feedings of course. i refill once a week on this schedule. works out good for me, because like a lot of others, i am not available to feed 3x a day. (and not sure if i really want the wife doing it…) i figure, even flake/pellets is better than nothing. drops right in front of my maxi-mod and broadcasts…
