I am looking to get a unit from air/water. Any ideas. I only have a 55 and 20 gallon sump. So I was looking at the under sink unit for my wash room. But I was thinking (I know bad idea). Should I get it for the entire house. I have 2 kids and a wife. Would that be a smart move?
ive had the AWI compact reefkeeper for years and i love it. im not sure what you mean by getting it for the entire house? Having RO water come out of every faucet isnt going to be feesible. those are VERY expensive commerical units that would involve a lot of plumbing and large storage tanks.
the best suggestion i would make is if you have a refrigerator with icemaker/water dispensor you can T off your output after your RO and before your DI and feed one of their pressurized storage tanks. they even sell inline taste/odor filters. this will give you quality ice and drinking water and you can even use it for cooking.
I also have the Air Water Ice compact reefkeeper and it works awesome. I have had it for 3 years. I have the 75 gpd and it keeps up with my needs. The 24 gpd is enough water but you will need more water every now and then and will like the bigger unit. I would not go larger as the rejection rates go down.

Who will be picking up the next “Reef Creature of the Month?” I had 4 or 5 of you that said you were willing to do it last month, who is up first? I would rather it not be Bellamy during the next meeting as he is already going to be giving a presentation on something else and we need to hear from more then one person at each meeting to mix things up. I’ll try to get the article up for the first one with in 1 weeks time.(Next Monday) I figure this works well for future presenters as they will be able to get some feedback from there talk during a short FAQ afterwards almost like a short pier review and a little more research can take before they publish the article on the site.
We have a lot of new members who just signed up, perhaps we should show off the group buy thing a little more. It is a little too soon to do so as Ian is still finishing up the last one, but perhaps we can discuss if we want to ask Ian to handle group buys or what we might want to do as the next one.
Bellamy or Al do you have the gift certificates to Dr. Mac’s? There was discussion in a previous thread that they were to expire soon and we decided to throw them in this months raffle. We advertised there would be a sweet raffle and when I looked around to see who had the gift certificates no one had them.
I have one, I think Al has the rest. Sorry I didnt make it, but you guys dont want what I have.
They expire in July. I have 7 and I thought Ken had 1. Did he give it to you Icy.

I swore Ken had given Bellamy one at the last meeting, but he claimed at the meeting he hadn’t had any in a long time. Anyways I think that either Andy or Marty should hold on to these in the future. Al if you won’t be able to make next months meeting, once again on a Monday, could you pass the ones you have on to someone else.
I don’t think we should put all 8 into a raffle all at once, but should get rid of them soon. I meant to ask earlier, but Bellamy did you have an article ready during that contest thing we had a couple of months ago? If so and you were the only one I think we should give Bellamy one as a prize. And maybe we could also upload that article to the site.
How else can we dispense these to the club quickly?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Al get one in recognition of the effort and work he put in over the last year getting the club moving in the direction we’re moving now. IMO, his leadership was fundamental in getting us to where we are.
That would leave six, if Bellamy was the only article winner. I’d say two in the next three rafffles (Mar/Apr/May). That should leave people with time to use them. We might even think about announcing a club road trip scheduled in June as we raffle them off.
Bellamy, if your article is ready, I can get it posted. And as far as articles are concerned, if I need to somehow post/show someone how to do it with Joomla, LMK.
i concur, Al should definitely be recognized. of course he needs to get off his ass and set up a new tank in order for GC to be any good to him 
I know there was at least one other article that got lost in transition. Just need to find it to get it ready for posting.
No, I never did get one together. I had the best intentions to, but that was when I was sorting each piece of shell in 60 bushels of Oysters… I was kind of busy to say the least. I am still planning on throwing the article together for the front page, but no GC for me.

Looks as if someone already covered it. Font is a little small though, "News: Next meeting - 7:00PM Monday, February 16th @ Wm. Penn HS ". If needed for space perhaps we could abbreviate Sunday. remove the "- " before 7 and remove the “PM”.
