Tax day

Today’s the day people, hope you’re done or extended, or slap-stick whatever…

Doh!

no problem, i started doing mine last night about 5 PM. I think i should make it. i always drop it off at the post office at 11:30PM on the 15th with time to spare. it’s traditional. I’m up to figuring my tax loss carry forward from 2007 to offset any gains i had this year.

kapt,
"to offset any gains i had this year. "
how u have gains this year??? i thought the econ was in the crapper for everybody.

the 15th is better than christmas for me…no more 14 hour days, no more headaches…

for those that dont know…you only have to file an extension if you owe on your taxes…the fed’s could care less if they owe you money…

if anyone has tax question feel free to email me…im an accountant and a tax advisor during the season…

:-)lol Can’t say I blame you for waiting until now to come out with it!

HAhahaha that is exactly what I was thinking Joe!

I thought if you owe you had to pay the tax do by the 15th even if you file an extension and it they owe you file the extension as they will gladly owe you.

i got a refund of 4700 federal and state and its gone… >::: rebuilt darango tranny and paid bills. cant wait till next year always look forward to money

yes Porter, if you file an extension and you owe…you should make a payment, thats what we all recommend…but this isnt the case for all people, i did a return where someone owed 12000…cant pay that at once…so the point is, even if you owe an arm and a ass cheek…send in your taxes with no check…this way you dont get slammed with penalties for late filing and the such…

i couldnt tell you the last time i filed my taxes on time…i never owe, so the feds arent worried, delaware may mess with you but i doubt it unless you have to file a corp or receice a k-1…

sorry for typos, company party was tonight since its the 15thyaaaaa! BoNg

like with corals!!

i did a lot of people who suprisingly had a lot of stock gains…then i did a ton of people who had losses…too bad the losses are only limited to $3000 a year…for 2009 tax year the Obama admin. is trying to raise this limit to $20,000 for middle class tax payers…

sucks that you still cant write off the losses in our 401(k)'s+(b)'s and the such…

and all the lucky people who are selling recently bought homes at a loss. cant deduct that either.

Or sell high, buy low … just cover your shorts …

Ballz you think you got it bad??

I got married on April 15th!!!

Actually it’s not so bad – this way millions of Americans can slap their head with me while proclaiming “WTF???”

thats kind of like having a birthday on christmas and only getting gifts once a year…atleast its almost fool proof for you to forget your aniversary date…that kind of sucks because if you do forget you get the “double ended” one…

Ha, He’s getting it on both ends on April 15th

I usually have to wash my shorts when i buy high and sell low.

Think derivatives, Ken. Use an options strategy to cover the risk.
