the most stupidest

Mistake you ever made or just the most craziest or funniest thing that has happened as a result of your obsession for the hobby?

I can’t wait to hear these stories >LOL<

I decided to move one rock over just a little because a coral wasnt completly upright… and half of the rockwork collapsed.

(this was tonight by the way :-?)

What temprature is best for a reef tank… thats the one I wanna revisit eventually.

any of the times i left the ro unit on … which, lately, seem to be a bi-weekly event

I have resorted to putting the bucket in the sink so that if it overflows then it all goes down the drain.

Where do we start? The old reliable how big for a Tang? Saint:)[/quote]

Hey Joe … that was my idea. tang-in-a-bowl

But tat2 nailed it — the reason I picked that as an example is that I too think the tang thing has been argued to death. So there ya go, one more thing I agree with Jim on!

Um float switch guys, $12.95. And that would rate right up there as the stupidest thing I didn’t do; hook it up 3 years ago when I purchased it.

Sutpidest thing I’ve done…

RO unit overflowed all over the floor. OK 1 time imparticular… … convinced the wife that the hot water heater must be leaking.

Cost me $600 to replace a perfectly good HW heater. verdict_in

I say we discuss the frequency and necessity of water changes.

I am copying this page and will send this page to her if I am not paid the sum of 100 million dollars. ha ha ha

That’s a good one about the water changes! I think that’s a very good debate that a lot of people especially newbies could get a lot of good information, opinions and experiences from members.

Good idea cdangle

Thanks. I apologize for the extra day.

It was ready for pickup by usps on Monday, but they decided not to stop and pick up my packages that day.

Thanks…every now and I again I come up with something intelligent to say.

Hey! There’s another good debate topic lOl

Are you kidding? >LOL<

The service was awesome!!

I found a SW distributor on ebay and he has some pretty good deals on inverts. Here is their ebay store:
http://stores.ebay.com/Piece-of-the-Reef

They have 100 Nassarius Vibex snails for $20.69 + $22.99 shipping. I certainly don’t need 100 snails, so I figured I’d ask and see if anyone else is interested in anything from this store. They have fish and corals as well. Where we can really make out is if we order multiple items from them, shipping cost is dramatically reduced.

Here are their shipping policies:
Our shipping is calculated as follows: • First UNIQUE fish is shipped for $29.99. Each additional UNIQUE fish/invert/coral is shipped for $1.00. This means that if you have (3) Pac Blues “Dory Fish” they would all ship for $29.99. Once you add another UNIQUE item, the cost increases by $1.00. • First UNIQUE invert is shipped for $22.99. Each additional UNIQUE invert or coral is shipped for $1.00. This means that if you have (3) Horseshoe crabs they would all ship for $22.99. Once you add another UNIQUE item, the cost increases by $1.00. • If you have a combination of items the item with the most expensive shipping will be used as your base for shipping and additional items added at $1.00 each (unique animal) from there. Shipping to Florida- fish ship for $19.99 (same as listed above – just $10 less) & inverts ship for 9.99 (same as above just $12 less). Do NOT expect the Ebay system to adjust the invoice correctly. It does so on occasion but not always and never for Florida residents. I can adjust your invoice to reflect the shipping prices outlined above– please notify me via email if your invoice needs to be adjusted.

Also have an “Arrive Alive” Guarantee:
We have an Arrive Alive Guarantee! Just contact us via email and let us know about the problem, send pictures of the dead product and we will take care of it! Feel free to call or send an email with your questions or read our feedback regarding how we treat our customers!

We always include insurance, styro box & we use ice/heat pacs as necessary! No additional charge!!

We ship live fish and reef critters via FedEx Overnight

This store has 5604 feedbacks and a 99.4% positive rating. Let me know if anyone is interested, I would probably only want 20 or 30 nassarius. I would have everything shipped to my house (1 mile from Bear Library) and you would have to pick up there.

Josh

I think shawn has those breeding in his tank. Before you go buy them maybe just ask him if if you could get some?

I tried getting a reeftopia group buy or something similar but didn’t get much interest, and shipping would have been free.

i looked at about 50% of the list and there is so nice stuff on there…

ill be interested in something if this does end up taking off…

is this still going on or no? and not heard good things about reeftopia BTW

Im interested in the ebay groubuy if someone wants to organize it. Im just about ready for a CUC in my nano.
