the most stupidest

I need a clean up crew for my 120g and 90g badly! So please let me know if anything goes off.
I have heard of one thing back about reeftopia, which is being corrected, everything else I have heard has been great. I wouldn’t base their reputation on one order. But there is also another good CUC company similar to reeftopia, Reefcleaners.com

ok so whos better here? I mean if you guys actually need some stuff that they don’t have won’t Liveaquaria be about the same price or no? I’m in Jersey 15 min from the bridge, so where is central for you guys? near Pet Kare in Bear or DPA? RT13?

narrow it down to somewhere we can get what we all need from one source and we can get this going…

Ok, I will organize it. PM me with what you want, and I will tally the order and divide the shipping cost evenly, regardless of what you buy (since it’s only $1 extra shipping per invert order), between everyone. Once I get a total, I will post it back on this forum. After we have a final total, I will arrange payment prior to the order (just to cover my arse!).

Josh

P.S. If you get a fish and no one else does, YOU will have to foot the entire shipping cost for the fish (read the shipping terms).

Where are we getting this from?

We’re getting it from an ebay store called Piece of the Reef. See the original post for more details.

I would be interested in getting around 20 Nassarius and 20 astrea snails. I work in Newark so I could meet anywhere between Newark and south DE.

Thanks.

Just an FYI on there “white leg hermits” they will eat tons of algae just like they say… they’ll also probably eat snails and corals. General rule of thumb with hermits, white or hairy ones are usually not reef safe. Anything larger then an electric blue(sometimes called “soccer crabs”) is also probably not reef safe.

The “olive snails” they have listed may also not do well. There are MANY species that look very similar to this one, but most of them slowly starve to death in captivity. That is after they reek havoc on you’re other inverts.

I’m strapped for cash at this point so I’m going to have to sit out on this one.

How are we going to split up shipping? I would probably be interested in
50 white leg crabs $16
100 cerith snails $20
50 nassarius snails $12

$48 +shipping, depending on how much shipping is. I’m sure we could get a better deal if we got enough people. I could pick up at the bear library also. Let me know when this is going down, thanks.

This is how I would propose splitting shipping costs:
DamnPep wants 3 different inverts
I will probably get 2 different inverts
Shipping cost will be $23 for the first seperate item, and $1 per additional item. Total shipping for this example would be $27. Shipping costs for us would be $13.50 each. Does that sound rational to everyone?

Josh

Sounds fair to me, we just need to get more people in on this. Would we get a group discount though for buying a lot?

I will email and ask if we could get any sort of group buy discount. I’ll drop that we’re with the Delaware Reef Club too, I’m sure that will have some serious pull! >LOL<

Anyone else interested? ds4X4, logans_daddy, ento_reefer, logballz still interested? Post what you would like or PM me.

Sounds good to me, keep me updated.

Come on everyone, I know people need to replenish their CUC!

Sorry, I need stuff that actually eats algae, not just leftover food. I just put in an order for some stuff so I should be good.

Huh? What did you get? The guy has more then nassarius snails. Actually some pretty good deals. If you have that bad of an algae problem, I would look into your water parameters instead of a CUC.

Im not buying stuff that cleans up excess food because there really isnt a problem with that in my tank. Most of it gets taken care of by the brittle star and the rest is devoured by a couple fish and the hermits. What I needed were more snails to clean the glass/rocks, as we had only 4 when I counted the other night.

I got them from ccritters.com. They have pretty awesome prices on their stuff and Ive done business with them before and was very happy.

Sounds good, glad you got good results with them. Hope it all works out for you. As for algae on the glass, no matter how many snails I have theyll never get it all. My kole tang however does a good job at eating thealgae on the glass haha. The mag float gets the rest, best algae eater there is!

So anyone else want to get in on this buy? It isn’t a group buy with only 2 people!

I could jump in for one of the 1K+ copepod /amphipod packages. Dependent on shipping costs of course.

With 3 people, shipping would be around $9/person. The more people we get, the cheaper it would be.

I will probably jump in once its 100% organized

What are we organizing? Who is it through?
