WTB 6ft tank

I need a 6ft tank for my FO setup. At this point, I don’t care if its a 125g. I’d love a 180 (or any 24" wide tank) but will take what I can get. RR would be nice, but not needed. I just need something to hold me over until the spring when it gets warmer and I can build my plywood tank. If anyone knows of anything for sale at a decent price, please let me know, thanks everyone.

$80 for the light anyone? SantaC

Humm… currently there is a decent amount in the store, but… I believe we are expecting a delivery tomorrow. Give us a ring and perhaps you can time it well.

Two of the corals have a hold on them for someone special. No complaining though they’ve sat in the store for over three months and I can’t watch another person pass up such beautiful animals, so I’m using the gift certificate I got today and bringing them home.

Thanks Jon,

What time shold I call? What are the hours today?

a buddy of mine down in greenwood had a nice 150 setup for sale. cherry stand and canopy. m/h light setup with moonlights. no filter. he wants 1000 bucks for it. a lot of money, but good deal for what he has. just figured i would throw that out there

Our hours are 11:00am-6:00pm today(Friday Dec.26th) due to the holidays. Normaly we would be open until 8:00pm.

Sounds nice but I already have the supporting equipment for the tank. Plus its only a FO setup so I don’t need m/h etc. But thank you very much for the suggestion, much appreciated :BEER

SOLD thank ronert it was nice meeting you

Any update on the shipment???

yes, it can take a month or two for SPS zooxanthalea to adapt to your lights and tank. but if the intensity is high enough they will color up. specially if you have a lot of blue light.

Oh yes, there is MAG PELLETS by DEAD SEA WORKS(Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate) in stock at the SEARS home and garden store at the uniiversity plaza, across from the Newark Library. they have at least a dozen pallets of 50 pound bags outside in the fenced garden area. Lowes has 50 pound bags and 9 pound jugs of PRESTONE DRIVEWAY HEAT pure calcium chloride in stock also. And the Dollar store always has Sodium Bicarbonate(baking soda) at 50 cents a pound and 2 pound cartons of Epsom Salt(Magnesium Sulfate hepta hydrate) for a dollar. It’s all available now. but not for long. I think i even saw some left over 50# bags of C-FORCE calcium chloride at one Home depot. they may get more in stock when the snow flies.

If a 50# bag of mag pellets is too much for your needs, you can always split one with a friend or two.

Better living thru chemistry!

light works great … thanks jim … enjoy the trip!

Off to Sears I go…

Got my tank! Its a 210g 84x24x24 drilled with custom stand and canopy (a lot nicer then store bought). Can’t wait to set it up! It has several small holes that I need to plug up though, with glass patches. Anyone have any ideas on that?

Heres the tank.

Wow, nice looking tank. I cant wait to get mind. Do you mind if i ask what you paid and where you got it?

Surprising got it off craigslist. A good reefer never tells how much anything is! Gotta keep secrets from the girlfriend and rents! But patience definitely pays off. So wait until the right deal comes along.

That’s not true. A good reefer ensures all of his reefer friends know what to consider fair.

It’s a bad reefer that keeps secrets for the sake of self preservation.

I just don’t bookmark this site - makes it harder for the wife to find out what I’ve spent.

Ehh I’ve learned to keep my mouth shut on a lot of things, especially with this hobby. I do know that patience is the key though!
