Yellow Tang & Hippo Tang for Sale

After many talks with the wife I am going to downsize my main tank. I have 2 of the most beautiful tangs around. They are not overly aggressive or territorial. They will require a large tank and plenty of room to swim. They are currently in a 75 gallon with lots of hidding places and plenty of swimming area. Larger then 75 gallons is required for these fish to remain happy and healthy. They get allong great with each other and will give a better price if purchased together.

Hippo tang is about 5 1/2" tail to nose - $70
Yellow tang is about 4 3/4" tail to nose - $50

The measurements above are rough est. They didn’t want to wait for a measure and a pic :stuck_out_tongue: A lot of club members have seen these tangs and they are fat and healthy.

Beautiful, well took care of, healthy animals. Considering that when tangs come out of the wild many of them get sick when they arrive in stores this is a great deal. Can’t beat two animals that get along together and have lived in captivity for any stretch ot time. My 75 will soon house my purple tang which probably won’t get along with them so I won’t be able to take them. Who else has space?

How long have you had them Al?

I have had them since the Hippo was 2" and the yellow was 1 1/2". (2 years 5 months)

I can certainly vouch for the quality of these fish. You certainly would not be dissapointed. Unfortunately I will only have a 75 and would prefer to see them go to a larger tank as well or I’d take them in a second.

Nice fish!

I’ve been out of the loop, Al- what happened to the 210?

The two you saw in the store are on the right, the white or “Red sea” is on the left. http://www.gordonious.com/corals/HPIM1374c.JPG

The other xenia I would call silver lined is here: http://www.gordonious.com/corals/HPIM8814c.JPG again this type it may take me a while to get some frags available expecially since it isn’t looking great.

Jon

its a future project, but I don’t want to comit to it unless I have time. With the new baby and such I don’t know I will have time and I really want then to go to a bigger tank.

These 2 are best buddies as they as I was unable to take many pics without the other being right there.

Just a small update. I finally got the supply today, it turns out it wasnt doa(long story). Anyways, i hooked it up this morning to my return pump a genx40(1.2a) and it ran for 3hr and 35min on just one battery. I have been running my korali 3 and tunze 6120 on a different battery(but still just one) since 1p this afternoon and they are still running strong. There is a 3 stage battery life indicatior(full, mid, low) and it just turned to mid about an hour ago. This things switches from AC to DC without any noticable gap. Its a little pricey but compared to what we have invested in our tanks i think its worth it.

BTW, thanks Ted for all of the help. Its really appreciated!

:BUMP)

Anybody local? Both for $100

Hippo is Sold

Hey Jon,
I figured that there is no point in you waiting for the new frags to heal if you dont mind one that is not attached. I have a full grown yuma the same as those guys that is completly healed but has just been sitting on the sand bed of our smaller tank. Its all yours, or you could wait for the smaller guys to attach. They are all healed and I checked today to see if they are attached but i think they need another week for that. Let me know.

Yellow tang needs to be sold. Make an offer

I would actually prefer the unattached kind. When are you coming up north next? I plan on driving to Lewes at some point in the next couple of days, but it would be difficult to coordinate a drop off and pick up. Up to you.

Not really planning on going up north any time this week. Maybe on the weekend?

$40 For a Yellow Tang??

Jon if you are interested I would be willing take a credit towards corals in the future.

[fly]Maybe even stock in [i]Jon’s Coral & Fishie Boutique [/fly]

hey al do you still have any of the candy canes available?

I got 2 RBTAs from Icy a few months ago for $20 each. Now I have 7 and 2 look like they might split again. I’ll take $15 for each and I’ll even get them off the rock for you. (Tomato Clown is protective) I live on Dover AFB so I can either get you a visitor pass or I can meet you somewhere in Dover.

Here is a clear picture:

Glad to see they are doing well for you. Sounds like yours are splitting as fast as mine.

Are those RBTA or just BTA? Could be the pic, but they don’t look red to me. Regardless I’d love to get one, just don’t see me coming down to dover anytime soon.
